FEBRUARY 25, 1930: Nancy Jane Stephenson (Mrs. G. W. MOORE) died in the Fayetteville Community.  See a newspaper clip of visits from Texas prior to her death:  This article appeared in the Fayetteville, TN newspaper.  It was sent to me by Charlyne Hellekson of OK.  It was in her mothers scrapbook.
Visitors from Texas
Mr. and Mrs. l. B. Thornton of Stanton (Slaton), Texas, Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Davis and children, Ear, Edna, Willia Mae and Car, Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Watkins and little son Billy Hugh, of Lamesa, Texas, have paid an extended visit to their aunts. Mrs. G. W. Moore of Petersburg and Mrs. J. W. Foster of Kelso.  They also visited the following cousins in Fayetteville, Mesdames R. E. Noles, Ida Formwalt, and Miss Ellen Orrick.  They were joined at Petersburg by their aunt Mrs. L. E. Young of Memphis, who visited with them at Mrs. Moore's Mesdames Thornton and Davis will be remembered by the elderly people of Petersburg as Misses Cora and Lillie Stephenson who were born and reared three miles east of Petersburg, daughters of the late Mr. and Mrs. Sam T. Stephenson.  Their grandfather was the Hon Jas. A. Stephenson. Mrs. Young was formerly Miss Della Stephenson, daughter of the late Jas A. Stephenson and wife and aunt of Mrs dames Thornton and Davis.

Mrs. Watkins is the eldest daughter of Mrs. Davis by a former marriage to Mr. Guy Rives.
The reunion of these relatives was a source of much joy, due to the fact that they had been absent from the county for near 20 years.  The childhood home lended such a charm that we naturally wander back to these scenes, no matter where we roam.
Mr. Hubert Wright of St. Louis, MO., a cousin of the above parties, is spending his summer vacation with his aunt, Mrs. Foster, at Kelso and enjoyed the happy reunion.  While the relatives of their home county are loathe to part with them they hope for another meeting amid the scenes of childhood, but if not, a grand reunion beyond the "River of Death."
